Acadia National Park - Cadillac Summit Road Vehicle Reservation Requirements

Cadillac Summit Road is a 3 mile scenic drive taking travelers to the highest peak in Acadia National Park. Parking is available at the summit along with amenities including a paved walk, scenic overlooks, restrooms and a gift shop.

A vehicle reservation will be required from May 25th through October 22nd. Beginning February 25, 2022, 30% of the available vehicle reservations will be available for purchase on a rolling basis (90 days ahead of each date) via the Recreation.gov website. The remaining reservations are released at 10 AM EDT 2 days ahead of each date.

What’s that mean? It means you can try to get one of the limited reservations for a specific date 90 days in advance or try to get a reservation 2 days ahead of the day you want to drive Cadillac Summit Road. Either way it means you should plan ahead!

Vehicle reservations are not available for purchase in person at the park. Reservations have to be purchased through the Recreation.gov website of via their reservation call center at 877-444-6777.

After successfully making a reservation, you should receive a confirmation email that includes an attachment that is your reservation ticket. Print or save that reservation ticket and bring it with you for your visit.
